Tree Protection Bylaw Review

The District is reviewing the tree protection bylaw which regulates the cutting, removal or damaging of trees on private property and defines what a protected tree is. The bylaw was adopted in 2002 and has not been substantially updated since then. The review will include establishing requirements for replacing protected trees.

The District has engaged Diamond Head Consulting to lead the review and update of the Tree Protection Bylaw.

Public engagement will begin in October 2020.
