How do you walk, ride and roll in North Saanich?

What is active transportation? Active transportation is any way of travelling using your own power to get from one place to another. This includes walking, wheel chairing, cycling, or rolling by other means.

What is the Active Transportation Plan? The Active Transportation Plan will identify how to improve roads and trails to make it easier and safer for people to walk and cycle in North Saanich.

Why are we creating the plan? Making it easy and safe to travel by active transportation:

  • improves community health and well-being
  • can reduce congestion and transportation-related emissions
  • is more affordable for more people and that money can be spent in other ways in the community

Current Status: We are launching the first phase of engagement.
